From being close to the ground to being afloat, the butterfly series uses the gentle metaphor of a butterfly’s wings to explore the different heights at which human activities take place. With the increase in height, the structure becomes even more elaborate as the spacing between each member becomes more pronounced. One can notice the shift in the treatment of the teak wood legs as the edges become more beveled rather than chamfered to give the chair a sturdier look. The butterfly bar stool stands firmly on the ground as you hop atop with your next drink.
